Evaluation and Training

Cleopatra is very gentle and sweet. She spent over six months with trainer Mychelle Clark being started under saddle. Mychelle believes that Cleopatra would do well with western riding such as open show western pleasure, horsemanship, and trail class. Mychelle did not take her down the trails yet but she is very brave and so Mychelle thinks she would really enjoy trail riding as well.Mychelle says, "I think she would be fine with a rider that has experience or intermediate who is willing to be a teacher as she is very responsive to patient and consistent riding. She is by no means naughty or hard to handle just that she holds a great deal of trust in her handler that took a long time to get and I think a beginner right now might lose that trust if they aren't fair."Cleopatra's current foster home says she longes well, has good ground manners, and has been good to ride in an arena. She's doing well at the walk and trot, but she still needs working on canter transitions and maintaining a canter. In June 2018, Cleopatra's foster home took her to the CTAHA show. Cleopatra placed first in Arabian mares halter and 3rd in adult walk/trot. Her foster home/Training Challenge partner has also been working with her at navigating obstacles, and Cleopatra is doing great! This mare has loads of potential!
