About Flynn Ryder
Flynn’s dam was picked up estray by Doris Day Equine Center, and she had Flynn at the Center. He was transferred to the McKinney SPCA upon weaning, and they transferred him to Bluebonnet. He attended the Bluebonnet Horse Expo and was adopted there.
Through no fault of his own, Flynn was returned in March of 2024.
Flynn Ryder is competing in the Non-Pro Under Saddle division of the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge with Amber Price.
Flynn Ryder was adopted by his training challenge partner!
Evaluation and Training
Flynn Ryder is just a young guy, so he's still learning about the world. His foster home says he's learning about personal space, leading better, and loading in a trailer right now. They say, "He seems quite intelligent and picks up what we want quickly. Sometimes you can see the light bulb go off in his brain which is pretty funny to watch. He picks up all four hooves and doesn’t mind being groomed. He seems athletic and loves play time in our arena."We prefer our young horses not to be started under saddle until 3, or even 4, years of age to give them a chance to mature. But he's a great age to adopt now and start ground work with, and he has the potential to do anything his adopters want!
