About Zinnia
Zinnia is Bluebonnet's first "Harvey Horse" - a horse who came to us because of Hurricane Harvey. She was standing in flood waters for several days before her owner called Bluebonnet and asked us to take her. Zinnia was taken straight to a vet and then onto a nearby foster home for critical care. The volunteer who picked her up and got her to safety, though, was attached to her and decided to adopt her and finish her rehabilitation as soon as she was stable and safe to travel!
Zinnia crossed the Rainbow Bridge on December 2021 after four wonderful years with her adopters.
