About McEntire
McEntire was placed with Bluebonnet when his owner could no longer keep him.
McEntire competed in the 2018 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge at the Bluebonnet Horse Expo.
McEntire is competing in the In-Hand 12 and Under Division of the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge with Pyper Davis. McEntire will be available for adoption at the Training Challenge competition on October 5, 2024, during the Bluebonnet Horse Expo at the Williamson County Expo Center. Evaluation and Training
McEntire is a sweet, kind miniature horse. He's halter broke and is now learning to work in hand with his foster home/training challenge partner. McEntire is a great follower – he is unmotivated most of the time but will surprise you with bursts of energy. He does not act his age at all and will jump over obstacles. He is learning to trot in hand and prefers to walk around. He loves to be groomed and just hang out, be loved. He is a pocket pet and LOVES people.
The great home for McEntire would be a therapy home. Either to a child who needs a large animal to help them walk for physical therapy, or emotional therapy, or a therapy animal for a person who visits the children's hospital/senior homes. He loves grooming and attention. He just wants to hang out with his person and enjoy the scenery. He just wants to be spoiled. He is NEVER to be ridden, he is way too small for the smallest child and he is not interested, nor should he be.
