About Sueno

Sueno and his herdmates were surrendered to Bluebonnet when his owner was investigated for neglect. Sueno crossed the rainbow bridge in November 2019. We send our sympathy to all his BEHS foster homes and friends.

Evaluation and Training

Sueno did not load well and was very pushy when he arrived. He was assigned to a trainer for the 2018 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. She worked with him on the ground and saddled him a few times before she had to withdraw from the Training Challenge due to a move. He went to another trainer where he began kicking when pushed to work. We sent him to trainer Aaron England for work. Aaron and his assistant have worked with him on the ground quite a bit, and he is no longer kicking. He is a stout horse who was a stallion until last year. He's very protective of himself and is not going to be a horse for a novice or timid handler. He could shine with an experienced, confident handler and could become a riding horse with training.
