About Azure Rey

Azure Rey and his herd mates were surrendered when their owner was investigated for neglect. He competed in the Rescue Horse Training Challenge at the 2019 Bluebonnet Horse Expo and met his adopter. Unfortunately their home was hit by a tornado and they were unable to keep him so he was returned in December 2019.

Azure Rey was adopted again but then returned in 2022 through no fault of his own.

Azure Rey is competing in the Non-Pro Under Saddle division of the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge with Shanna Woolf. Azure Rey will be available for adoption at the Training Challenge competition on October 7, 2023, during the Bluebonnet Horse Expo at the Williamson County Expo Center. You can follow their progress on their Facebook page CLICK HERE

The Expo and Training Challenge will be held on October 7, 2023 at the Williamson County Expo Center in Taylor, Texas. For more information about the Expo CLICK HERE, or for information about adopting a challenge horse CLICK HERE.

Adopted by trainer.

Evaluation and Training

Azure Rey has competed in the Training Challenge in the past and was adopted. He was returned in 2022 due to no fault of his. He is super smart and seems to know a lot. He will test his rider so he will need consistency. He is halter broke, loads in trailer, and stands for grooming. He has been ridden in the arena and on trails. He needs a refresher, and we cannot wait to see what he does at the October event.
