About Sienna

Sienna was discovered estray. When her owners were not found, she was placed with Bluebonnet by law enforcement.

Evaluation and Training

Sienna’s first home was with novices, and they said she was sweet and easy to handle. She wasn’t bothered by their dogs or other livestock, and she was easy to catch, lead, load, and halter.

In June 2019, she visited trainer Hilary LoBue for a riding evaluation, and she discovered Sienna was broke to ride. She then spent four months with a teenager to prepare for the fall 2019 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. Her Challenge partner said she had impeccable ground manners and said she was the least spooky horse she had ever met. They rode in an arena, over obstacles, and out on the trails. She rode Sienna both western and bareback and she did great.

Sienna’s adopters rode her western and used her for cattle sorting and pleasure riding, and she was mostly ridden by a teenager. She does like to go, so she might not be the best for a timid rider. But Sienna has plenty of training and a lot of knowledge and wisdom to share with her lucky adopter!
