About Chelsea
Chelsea's previous owner adopted her from BLM, was moving overseas, and donated her to BEHS. Chelsea was a favorite with everyone who met her while she was with us. Her new mom had this to say about her: "I have renamed Chelsea to Montana. She is a dream come true for me. I waited for her for 27 years and know that we will enjoy many more together." We at BEHS wish Montana and her new mom many happy trails.
Chelsea was returned by her adopter in 2022 due to her (adopter’s) health. Her adopter said that she is not a particularly affectionate mare, but she does love treats and likes to lick her person’s hands. She’s dominant with other horses but not overly so and has been out with both mares and geldings.

Evaluation and Training
Chelsea was not broke to ride when she arrived at Bluebonnet or when she was adopted in 2008. Her adopter sent her to a trainer. For the next ten years, she and her adopter enjoyed weekend trail riding with friends and occasionally sorting cows. She has not been ridden since 2021.
Chelsea was set to compete in the Fall 2022 Training Challenge, but her trainer fell in love with her and adopted her.
