Flicka was removed from negligent owners by law enforcement officials and awarded to BEHS by the courts. Flicka suffered from intermittent lameness problems and we knew a life as a riding horse was not in her future. One of our terrific foster homes agreed to keep her long term and decided she just needed to be a permanent part of the herd. She is currently enjoying life with another mare and a gelding and has room to roam or to stand quietly and enjoy the pretty scenery.She was returned in the fall of 2011 after developing additional lameness issues. Bluebonnet worked with her for some time, but her lameness continued to get worse and she was not comfortable. We made the tough decision to let her go.
