Kido came to BEHS severely underweight. His owner had several horses she could not care for and agreed to surrender Kido to BEHS when an investigator arrived at her property. He was covered with lice and long hair and all his bones protruded. He was terrified of humans and slow to learn to trust. His adopter fell in love with him and his story, and she wanted to give him a home where he could hang out and learn to trust again. She says that if she can ride him one day that will be exciting, but if he’s not comfortable ever being ridden she won’t mind.
