About Draco

This beautiful boy was an owner surrender due to lack of time and training knowledge. Although he needs a lot of work, his foster fell in love with him and quickly adopted him. Draco was returned in 2024, through no fault of his own.

Draco is competing in the In-Hand 13 and Over Division of the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge with Chrys Cory. Draco will be available for adoption at the Training Challenge competition on October 4, 2025, during the Bluebonnet Horse Expo at the Williamson County Expo Center. You can follow their progress on their Facebook page CLICK HERE

The Expo and Training Challenge will be held on October 4, 2025, at the Williamson County Expo Center in Taylor, Texas. For more information about the Expo CLICK HERE, or for information about adopting a challenge horse CLICK HERE.

Evaluation and Training

Draco has been spending some time with a trainer and learning to build trust with a new person. He can be hard to catch in a pasture but once caught he is easy to halter and lead. He will load in a trailer. He will stand tied for grooming, baths, and Fly spray. He is working on having his front and back feet picked up and trimmed on a regular basis. He will walk, trot, and canter in a round pen and on a lunge line. Draco is sensitive and will "snort" at new things but learns quickly.  His trainer will be riding him soon.
