About Stella Rose

Stella Rose is a sweet and very pretty mare – her cremello coloring is striking and will make her stand out in any crowd. She was transferred to Bluebonnet for training and rehoming and participated in the 2024 Bluebonnet Horse Expo as part of the Training Challenge’s Non-Pro Under Saddle Division. She was adopted before her scheduled competition, so her Challenge partner withdrew to allow her to move on to her new home.

In her adoptive home, Stella Rose was used as a lesson and playday horse. She did well for the first 6–8 weeks, but after her second playday she became lame. Her adopters returned her, concerned that she would not remain sound for their intended use.

Upon arriving at her new foster home, Stella Rose was evaluated by a veterinarian. The vet determined that an old injury she sustained in 2023 was the cause of her slight lameness. After receiving a steroid injection, she was cleared for moderate work and has not shown any lameness since then.

Stella Rose is competing in the Non-Pro Under Saddle Division of the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge with Molly Reinhardt. Stella Rose will be available for adoption on October 4, 2025, during the Bluebonnet Training Challenge and Expo at the Williamson County Expo Center in Taylor, TX.
