River came into Bluebonnet as a very thin stallion - but once rehabbed, he turned out to be a well mannered, nicely trained horse (2nd level dressage). He was adopted earlier this year. Due to time constraints of his adopter he was returned. They delivered him to the 2009 Bluebonent Horse Expo, where his abilities and beauty were seen by all. Govinda H. had already applied to adopt and was there, met him and immediately bonded with River. She and her daughter had waited a very long time to take on the responsibility of horse ownership and to find the right horse. Looks like a perfect match! River left for his new life yesterday afternoon. His adoptive mom says it will be hard to keep his young adoptive 'sister' from sleeping in the barn with him at night!
