About Heath

Heath met his best friend, Little Eddie, at his caretaker's home. They became inseparable, and when Eddie returned to his original owner, Heath’s caretaker asked us to take Heath as well so the two could stay together. Because of their strong bond, we are seeking an adopter for both donkeys together. If they must be separated in the future, each should have another donkey companion in their new home.

Health has limited hearing. He does best if you clap to get his attention (just make sure you are where he can see you) and he really loves visual cues. He also knows some verbal commands if you speak clearly and stand in front of him, such as “foot,” “trailer,” and “kisses.” He enjoys having his hind end and ears scratched and backs up to you—not to kick, but to ask for attention. Heath loves people and is incredibly sweet to anyone who treats him kindly.
