About Shakira
Shakira and several other horses were removed from negligent owners by law enforcement and placed with BEHS. Shakira competed in the Foster Horse in Hand division of the 2013 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge and was adopted by her trainer for the event! Congrats to Debra and Shakira!
Evaluation and Training
Shakira is easy to catch, halter, lead and load. Her first foster home started teaching her to longe, to carry a saddle, and wear a bridle. She’s also taught Shakira how to navigate various obstacles, and Shakira has had someone on her back a time or two. She’s a nice, sweet mare who could do almost anything!
