About Bristol Bay
Bristol Bay was removed from negligent owners and placed with Bluebonnet. Bristol Bay gained weight and his health thanks to the work of his foster homes. When he was at a healthy weight, he started to show lameness. A vet evaluation determined that it was due to an old injury to a back leg. Almost a year after he arrived, he suffered an accident in pasture that resulted in tendon damage. He was in too much pain and the wound was too deep to heal well, especially since he was already compromised. We made the decision, along with his veterinarian, to help him cross the Rainbow Bridge.
Evaluation and Training
Bristol Bay's foster home says, "He seems gentle and willing. He also seems to have “seen it all”; nothing phases/spooks or upsets him."He doesn’t seem to know ground commands (walk, whoa, back, etc.), but is a quick study and improving each day.He is not ridable due to a previous injury. He could be a companion to other horses.
