About Monique
Monique was owned by a Thoroughbred breeder who died. His family sent her herd to a “killer buyer”, and a rescue purchased Dancer and another mare from the “kill pen”. They realized they were in over their head and unable to care for the mares, so they transferred them both to Bluebonnet. She was rehabilitated thanks to the efforts of two foster homes and then adopted by her second foster home to be a pet and companion. Sadly Monique suffered a freak accident and was euthanized.

Monique is a sweet mare who does well out in a herd. She stands for grooming, the farrier, hoof trimming, and blanketing. She loads and leads well.
