Amigo and his pasture-mates were forcibly removed from their negligent owners by a cooperative effort between BEHS, Ar-Tex Animal Rescue and local law enforcement. Amigo quickly gained weight and was a gorgeous gelding. Although he was not yet broke to ride, he tolerated a saddle and rider on his back. He was adopted by a family who planned to train him as a pleasure horse.

Unfortunately his adopter had to return him. When he was returned he seemed a bit worried about saddles and what they might do to him. His foster home worked with him and he became accustomed to tack again. Misty met him and bonded early on with this very sweet gelding and had to have him for herself. While waiting for it to all go through, she went and saw him several times, just getting more acquainted with him. Now, he is in is forever home and doing well.
