Geronimo was donated in 2005 when his owner could no longer keep him. He had not been handled much and was hard to catch and spooky in new situations. He was also blind in one eye and very hard to handle on his blind side. His foster "mom" spent much time working with him, and he learned to trust new people and new situations. She showed him in a BEHS fundraising horse show where he won Halter Champion! As she continued to work with him, Geronimo learned to accept a saddle and work in the round pen. His foster home was upset when he was adopted, so when he was returned a few months later she decided she needed to adopt and keep him!
