Lacy was removed from her negligent owner in a cooperative effort between BEHS, two other rescue agencies and local law enforcement. She was awarded to BEHS. Lacy's adopter spent months helping her gain weight and then found out she was broke to ride. She was adopted by a family as a pleasure horse but was unfortunately returned. Lacy had inquiries over the years, but nothing ever really panned out for her. She is a rideable mare, but it seemed that the right match was just not happening. During this time, Lacy's foster family came to love her and made the decision to let her live out her life with them. Thank you John V. and Pam K. for giving Lacy a permanent home.
