About Israel

Israel was seized by Williamson County sheriffs department from an accident where he was in a horse trailer. The driver fled the scene leaving Israel, thankfully unharmed. The sheriffs department took him to the vet clinic where he was examined, gelded, and received his other routine care to get him ready for his journey. He was then transferred into care with Bluebonnet.

Israel was supposed to compete in the Non Pro Under Saddle Division of the Bluebonnet Horse Expo and Rescue Horse Training Challenge with trainer Chavela Alexander but had to withdraw. You see all the progress they made during the challenge on their Facebook page by CLICKING HERE.

The Expo and Training Challenge will be held on October 16, 2021 at the Williamson County Expo Center in Taylor, Texas. For more information about the Expo CLICK HERE, or for information about adopting a challenge horse

Evaluation and Training

When Israel arrived at Bluebonnet he still had some stud like tendencies and was quite the talker, since he was only recently gelded. He settled in quickly and appeared to have good ground manners as long as he could not see other horses.

Israel was broke to ride when he arrived but was either very rusty or green. He is spent 4 months preparing for the Fall 2021 Training Challenge but his trainer had to withdraw. His trainer says he is a very willing partner so he should make someone a great horse!
