Evaluation and Training

Walking in Memphis is a really cool guy! He is big, handsome and is really fun to hang out with! Memphis loves to talk to you when he sees you, especially during feeding time but overall is a quiet one. At the fosters he hangs out with mares, geldings as well as a young stud colt and is middle of the herd and doesn’t cause drama.
Memphis does still need some help with his confidence, he can get nervous and looks to his rider for guidance. When faced with something spooky he isn’t sure at first but with the guidance of his person he overcomes it quickly. Due to this Memphis would be best for a confident intermediate. He has had a 11-year-old on him with supervision and did great. With more training he could be a great kid’s horse!
The perfect home for Memphis would be one that loves some time on the trails and exploring or some fun play days. You can haul him to other places, and he is a perfect gentleman. Boy oh boy does this guy like to move! He loves being out on trail and covering some ground with his long legs and Cadillac lope. Now, his walk can look a little funny due to an old mechanical injury (which the vets have confirmed and said could be treated but does not cause him discomfort) but don’t let that fool you, Memphis loves to be with his person out riding or just hanging out eating some snacks.
