BEHS hosted the inaugural Sparkling City Humane Gala in Corpus Christi, Texas aboard the USS Lexington. The theme was the Roaring Twenties and many attendees dressed in Flapper and Gangster fashion. The event included a Dancing competition with local celebrities, silent auction and casino. Volunteers from Texas Humane Legislative Network provided much of the manpower for the event.
