From Ralph Lewis:

My sweet girl Patsy Cline has been with my daughter, Shannon Davidson, and I a year since her adoption. The day she arrived, we saw a very shaggy, extremely shy and somewhat scared lady, although her beautiful face told us there was a princess beneath that wooly coat.

Most curious was our 17 hand retired jumper, Tobias. Seemed like he did not know what to make of her at first. For the first two weeks we had them in side by side corrals, and Toby seemed very excited to have a new friend.

The first few days I walked her around all 15-acres of our ranch, or rather, she walked me! Rather than stop to graze, she pressed on quickly, eager to see all. Her shyness began to melt away, especially when I introduced her to cookies. At first, she had no idea what to do with a cookie – or a piece of carrot. Just sniffed and turned away. So I’d take bites out of cookies as she watched, and she finally got the picture.

With warmer weather, we had her clipped, likely her very first time ever. And she was a good girl about it. Indeed, underneath years of shag, a very fit and radiantly beautiful princess emerged!

Patsy gets turned out to pasture daily with Toby, and they are inseparable – anxious whinneys when they are separated just for a few minutes. I spend at least an hour or more a day with them, doing my best to offer the finest room and maid service in making their accommodations as five-star as possible! So happens they are both big fans of Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys, Hank Williams, Randy Travis, and, of course, Patsy’s namesake.

Thank You Bluebonnet for our darling girl!
