AUSTIN, TX—September 4, 2005-Golfing Fore Pets is pleased to announce that its 2nd Annual Golf Tournament will take place on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 with an 8:00 am registration and 9:00 am shotgun start on the Live Oak Course at the Lakeway Golf Club.
The brain child of Dr. Chuck Vandermause, DVM, a veterinarian and avid golfer, Golfing Fore Pets received its 501c3 status from the Internal Revenue Service earlier this year; and is one of the few golf tournaments around the country that benefits animal welfare agencies. This year’s beneficiaries are the Town Lake Animal Center, Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society and Heart of Texas Lab Rescue. A percentage of the proceeds will also be set aside to aid the animal victims of Hurricane Katrina.

We support, through golf and the golfing community, public education of rescues, animal adoptions, spaying and neutering, proper medical care, training, and nutrition. We also provide the golfing community a recreational activity for a good cause.
