About Fandango
"Fandango and his herdmates were removed from a negligent owner by a joint effort between BEHS and local law enforcement. When BEHS volunteers arrived on the scene, the horses had no water although the temperature was well over 100 degrees. They were severely dehydrated and were immediately seen by a veterinarian. Luckily the horses began recovering with good care, and Fandango blossomed into a gorgeous horse. His foster home worked with him once he gained weight and found that he was broke to ride. A second foster home fell in love with Fandango and decided to adopt him. She returned him almost 14 years later due to her own health problems. Fandango attended the 2019 Bluebonnet Horse Expo and met his adopter at the event. Congratulations Fandango!"
Evaluation and Training
"Fandango is broke to ride. He has been ridden in fields, an arena, and on trails with his former adopter. He is not spooky but does well with a confident rider who can encourage him to move forward. He hasn't been ridden in about a year due to his adopter's health, so he will need a short refresher. He would be a nice trail or pleasure horse for a lucky adopter."
