About Betty Bae

Betty Bae came to BEHS as a surrender when her owners could no longer keep her. She has been well cared for and loves people. She is low on the pecking order and loves to be sprayed with a hose on hot summer days.

She has no lameness issues. She was previously diagnosed with EPM and treated. She doesn’t appear to have any health issues.

Betty Bae was returned in November of 2022, through no fault of her own.

Evaluation and Training

Betty Bae’s former owners said she was a trail horse and that her grandchildren rode her. In April 2022, trainer Kelly Lazo test rode her and found out that she is indeed broke to ride. At her age, she is suited for light to moderate riding (mostly walk/trot, no jumping, playdays, hard trails). Her foster home reports that she’s a very sweet horse who could make a nice leadline horse or nice horse for someone who wants to do some pleasure or light trail riding. She also gets along well with others and would make a good companion for a lonely horse.
