Pegasus is a beautiful horse – inside and out. He’s not a fan of arena riding -- the trail is where is shines! He hits his stride walking, providing a smooth trot and gentle lope that eat up the miles. At home, he’ll wait at the gate before feeding time, offering an enthusiastic nicker and toss of his head as you approach.

Although he is deaf and blind in one eye, these disabilities are not readily apparent, and adjustments are easily accommodated. Riding him provides a unique opportunity to focus on communication through body signals. He is gentle, but new riders must earn his trust by convincing him to move forward and correcting him before he circles back to the stalls. Peg is a steady partner when ponying, quiet with authoritative nips should the accompanying horse move too far ahead. He’s a true friend on the ground, enjoying time being bathed or brushed.
