About Wilbur
Wilbur was transferred to Bluebonnet when he was found estray and his owners could not be located.
Wilbur competed in the In-Hand 13 and over Division of the 2023 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge with. Even though he wasn't adopted, you can still follow his progress on his Facebook pageCLICK HERE
Evaluation and Training
Wilbur will halter, is great for the farrier, and will stand for grooming. Wilbur has learned ground manners, over in hand obstacles, and hauled to new places. He's taken everything in stride and done great.
Wilbur has not been tested under saddle while at Bluebonnet, and we plan on having him evaluated by a trainer at the Expo to see what, if anything, he knows. Wilbur's could be a great companion for other horses or an in-hand obstacle horse, even if he's not broke to ride! He trailers well, loves bathes, and catches perfectly in the pasture.
