Evaluation and Training

Macchiato was initially enrolled in the 2023 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge with a professional trainer. She did not do well at that home and was placed with another trainer for the Challenge but that trainer withdrew when she did not have time to work with Macchiato.

Macchiato can be caught, lead, and loads into a trailer. She carries a western saddle well and was learning to lunge. She has not had a lot of good handling prior to coming to Bluebonnet, however, so she can be pushy. She is also not broke to ride. She’s a pretty mare who does like attention, and she could be a gorgeous riding horse with training.

Macchiato has long pasterns and is not a good candidate for jumping, play days, or endurance but should have no other limitations.
