Winston came to Bluebonnet when his owner couldn't keep him. He initially struggled with his weight, so he's stayed with us a while as his foster home found the right feed program, rehabilitated him, and started working with him on the ground. He's a smart guy who has had some training at some point in his life: he is good to catch, lead, and load in a trailer. He stands for the farrier and for baths and grooming. His foster "mom" has saddled and bridled him, and he doesn't seem to mind any of that.

Winston is competing in the Non-Pro Under Saddle Division of the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge with Addison Hill. Winston will be available for adoption on October 4, 2025, during the Bluebonnet Training Challenge and Expo at the Williamson County Expo Center in Taylor, TX.
