About Ol Red
Ol Red arrived at BEHS in December 2008 - in horrible shape. He gained weight with the help of several foster homes, and he was adopted in 2010 by a long-time BEHS foster home and volunteer. He was an older guy who had some lameness issues, so he wasn't reliably ridable, but his family loved him.They lost him in December 2013 due to complications from old age. Our sympathies go to his family and to all those who knew Ol Red. We're sad he's gone but so grateful he had a loving family for the past three years.
