About Rubia
Rubia came to BEHS as part of a neglect case along with several other horses. She turned out to be well-broke to ride and was adopted by a family in 2010. She was returned in 2013 after she became lame. She spent time with a lameness expert who agreed that she was lightly ridable for children. Fortunately, he was looking for just such a horse for his grandkids and adopted her. Rubia is one lucky horse!

Rubia is well broke to ride, but she's only available for light to moderate riding (mostly walking and some trotting) by a child due to her ringbone.
