About Annie

Annie was removed from her home by law enforcement, and the courts awarded her to BEHS along with her herdmates. She was adopted in 2011 and returned in 2012 when she became too much for her adopters to handle. Her foster home worked with her and competed in the 2012 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. A few months later Annie was adopted, and her adopter plans to train her as a working horse.

Evaluation and Training

"Annie is about 12.3 hh and still growing. Annie's foster ""mom"" says that Annie is easy to catch, stands tied, leads, loads, stands for trimming and grooming. She lets her foster ""mom"" put a fly mask on her, and Annie's foster ""mom"" says that Annie is a sweet and quiet girl who is easy to handle. She describes Annie as a ""cheerleader personality: she's always cheerful and curious and happy!"" She's growing slowly, so we would like to see someone give her until her three year old year to start her under saddle. But she's an awesome age to adopt and start on ground work. She's an adorable little girl who is going to make someone a wonderful horse! Annie competed in the 2012 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge on October 20, 2012 at the Bluebonnet Horse Expo in Austin, Texas. She placed 5th in the Foster Horse In Hand class."

Per the authorities who were involved in her case, Annie was orphaned at three months old.
