About Hunter

Hunter was seized by law enforcement and awarded to BEHS. He recovered slowly, and once he was health he went to a trainer who determined that he was broke to ride. Hunter's the type of horse who feeds off of his rider: if his rider is nervous, he'll be high but if his rider is quiet, he'll stay quiet. This meant it took some time to find the right person, but he did so at the 2012 Bluebonnet Horse Expo!

Evaluation and Training

Hunter is a very nice, easy to work with horse. He can be a little spooky in new places, but he settles down quickly. He likes people and attention and is a very striking looking horse. He spent a few weeks with a trainer to be evaluated in February 2012. He’s broke to ride but requires a confident rider. He can be high strung if his rider is nervous, but he calms down with a calm rider. He's gaited, and he has great potential as a fun trail or pleasure horse.
