About Liberty

Liberty and her herdmates were surrendered to BEHS when the sheriff's department responded to a call about animal neglect. Liberty's foster home worked with her and discovered she was a smooth, quiet riding horse. She was adopted not long after she went up for adoption!

Evaluation and Training

Liberty leads, stands for farrier, and loads in a farrier. She stands well for saddling and carries a saddle well, although her foster home hasn't been on her yet. She gets along well with the other horses, doesn't mind barking dogs, chickens or cats at her feet. She went with her foster home to an in-hand obstacle clinic and did great! In June 2013, her foster home tested her out under saddle and discovered that she's broke to ride. She's very smooth to ride, and she's quiet and not spooky. Her foster home says that she's very people friendly and adores attention. Since she's not well-broke, she would benefit from riding time. Her foster home adds, "She absolutely LOVES the water. She likes to interfere with water bucket filling time! She also has awesome hooves."
