About Cimmaron

Cimmaron was removed from negligent owners and placed with BEHS. He had not been handled much before coming to BEHS, and it is taking a long time for him to learn to trust people. His foster ‘mom’ decided to adopt him so he can stay where he’s safe and comfortable, and the two of them are making progress together.

Evaluation and Training

When Cimmaron arrived, he was not halter broke. He's not doing better in a halter, but he's very nervous about new people.

At this time, Cimmaron appears to be chestnut with some roaning, but it may be that he is a young horse who is graying.

Cimmaron is competing with Bob Crosthwait in the senior division of the 2013 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. He will be available for adoption at the Challenge on October 19th, 2013 at the Bluebonnet Horse Expo in Austin, Texas.
