About Herbie

Herbie was found estray. When his owners were not found, he was placed at BEHS by animal control. He's sweet, adorable, and has a big voice he's not afraid to use! He was adopted as a young donkey and returned later because he played too hard with an older, resident donkey. Herbie attended the 2019 Bluebonnet Horse Expo and met his adopter at the event. Congratulations!

Evaluation and Training

Herbie is a cute, young donkey. He brays (loudly!) a lot, and he would likely appreciate the company of other donkeys. He does play hard with his pasture mates and would prefer a home with another young donkey to play with or maybe a girlfriend! Herbie isn't a fan of sheep and goats but he is great with horses.Herbie is a true love bug. He loves people and comes when you call him. When he sees his foster mom walk out to the barn he comes running. He enjoys being petted and loved on. He likes to be close and adores hugs! He is super easy to handle. The farrier trims his hooves without any problems. He would make someone a cute pet or companion. He could also be trained to drive.
