About Clydeascope

Clydeascope was surrendered to BEHS when his owner was investigated for neglect. He was rehabilitated and then sent to training. The trainer discovered he had some previous handling and was a nice riding horse. Someone she knew met Clydeascope, fell in love, and ended up adopting him!

Evaluation and Training

Clydeascope is easy to handle. He stands well to have his hooves handles and is easy to bridle. He works well on the ground int he round pen. He spent two weeks with trainer Hilary LoBue in July 2015 to be evaluated under saddle. She rode him in an arena and over/through obstacles in the arena. She believes he was fairly well broke to ride at some point but is a little rusty now. She took him on a trail ride and said he handled doves flying out in front of him and rabbits jumping out in front of him without flinching. He has a smooth jog/trot. He does try to cut to the gate in the arena, but he gave up after Hilary pushed him past the gate a few times. He's not great about standing for being hosed off or for fly spray, but he's learning.

He would be a great pleasure or trail horse. He's not quite ready to be a beginner horse yet, but he could probably be a nice beginner horse with a little more work.
