About Lovely Lark
Lovely Lark was surrendered to Bluebonnet when her owners were investigated for neglect. Due to weak pasterns, Lovely Lark was available as a companion only. She met a family who wanted a pony to love, pet on, groom, and care for – and it was a perfect match!
Evaluation and Training
Lark acquired the adjective “Lovely” due to her beautiful, feminine head and her long, thick mane and tail. She has a lively, high-stepping prance when she moves out. Lark is easy to catch, handle, tie, and trailer. Her foster home says that Lark is a joy to be around and she calls Lark her “Pocket Pony”. Lark loves treats, petting, and grooming and would love a home with children who would spoil her. She gets along well with her pasture mates, too, so she could be a nice companion to a lonely horse. Lovely Lark is not broke to ride or drive. Due to her low pasterns and hip injury, we do not believe she should be a riding pony. She could be trained to drive or kept as a pet/companion. She lives in a foster home with several different domestic and exotic animals, none of which bother her at all! She is inconsistent when it comes to handling her feet, but her foster home is working with her.
