About Mr. Handsome
Mr. Handsome was removed from negligent owners by law enforcement and placed with Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society. He spent a long time in foster care because he was diagnosed with canker in all four hooves, and it took a long time to recover and heal. Once he was well, we began looking for the perfect home for him. He was adopted to be a riding horse, and we cannot wait to hear how he and his new family do together!
Evaluation and Training
Mr. Handsome's first foster home worked with a trainer to give him a great deal of ground work. His next foster dealt with the canker and began riding him once his veterinarian cleared him for work. She's ridden him in a round pen and out of the pen in a field. He really likes to go and his steering still needs more work. He's not for a novice at this time, but he could make a nice trail horse for an intermediate or above rider.
