About Flurry

Flurry was placed with Bluebonnet when his owner could not keep him. Flurry turned out to be nicely started under saddle and was quickly adopted. Congrats Flurry!

Evaluation and Training

Flurry spent a few weeks with trainer Hilary Lobue for a training evaluation. She said he has the potential to make someone a really nice riding horse, but he's probably not for a timid/novice rider as he tries to test his rider but he behaves if gently corrected. She says he's very sweet and kind and loves attention. When she cantered him, he gave out a half-hearted buck or crow-hop but then cantered when pushed forward. At the trot, he'll try to halt or go to the gate but will keep working if corrected. He enjoys trail rides and is good at obstacles. He goes through water with a rider with no problems. If he is approaching something scary he looks and slowly walks to it but then gets over it quick. He does have very nice flying changes on the longe line but not ready at this point to try them under saddle. He direct reins, he is very responsive to moving off leg.
