About Miss Pebbles

Miss Pebbles mare was placed with Bluebonnet when her owner was investigated for neglect.

She has extremely low/dropped pasterns in the back and her veterinarian says she should be ridden. (She is not 100% sound). She has no other known health or lameness problems.

MIss Pebbles was one of seven of our companion only/non-ridable horses that were adopted by one of our supporters. She had the space, time, support system and love to provide a sanctuary, and forever home, to some of the hardest to place horses. Anna, Reba, Tippy, Skeeter, Meadow, Herald, and Miss Pebbles all came to Bluebonnet from different neglect cases, and they all are unridable due to old injuries, age, or conformation issues. These guys have found an amazing home. Thank you to Melissa A. for giving them a place to be - to be fed, to be loved, to be looked after.

Evaluation and Training

Miss Pebbles is a sweet girl who can be a little shy at first. She’s good to lead, load, and handle. She stands well for the farrier, and she stands for fly spraying. She accepts halter and fly mask with no problem. The summer sun has been especially hard on the white portions of her face and nose, however, she stands quietly to have the ointment and sun screen applied and never shows any aggression. She can be aloof at times as if to say "you're beneath my notice, now give me my treat".

She’s got low pasterns, likely from poor conformation, and is available as a non-riding pet/companion only.
