About Shahan
Shahan was placed with Bluebonnet when his owner could no longer keep him. Shahan attended the 2018 Bluebonnet Horse Expo and met his new adopter at the Expo! Sadly in January 2021 Shahan's family lost him to colic. Our sympathy goes out to them for their loss!
Evaluation and Training
Shahan has been owned by one owner most of his life and had excellent care and handling. He loves people and attention, and he’s easy to get along with. He was professionally trained by an Arabian horse trainer as a younger horse but never shown. He has not been ridden in the past 5 years. He was evaluated by trainer Riva England in May 2018. She found him to be friendly, confident, respectful, and gentle. She was able to ride him at a walk, trot, and canter and said he’s a very nice horse who is a joy to work with. From there, he went to a foster home who had issues with him crow-hopping under saddle and only rode him a time or two.
