Stacy Davis

Stacy Davis is the Program Coordinator for Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society.

Stacy Davis started riding and learning about horses when she was 16. She was the girl who wanted a horse before a car, so her parents got her lessons. After lessons, she started working on a ranch and building relationships with horses. The horses allowed her to overcome some hard life lessons. They helped her deal with and accept her younger sister’s unexpected passing and the courage to walk away from an unhealthy relationship.

Stacy was introduced to a therapy riding center by a friend of hers. She started as a volunteer, and the next week, she was offered a job teaching kids of all abilities. She realized that she understood and had a great passion for teaching adults and children of all ages and abilities to ride and build the same relationship she had with horses to accomplish their goals and overcome their fears. She ended up growing the business and became the program director. Several years later, she decided to branch out and open her own riding facility. She ran the business for several years, and it grew, so she started looking to add a horse to her program.

In 2018, Stacy went to the Training Challenge to check out the horses. Not only did she adopt two horses, but she also wanted to compete in the next challenge. For a couple of years, she volunteered and competed in the challenge. She loved what the Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society stood for and wanted to do more. In 2021, Stacy started working part-time to help Bluebonnet’s data side. She was working two jobs but wanted to continue working to help horses. A year later, she closed her riding facility and worked full-time for Bluebonnet as an administrator assistant. Now, she is our New Program Coordinator and Helps run the Training Challenge.

When she is not working for Bluebonnet, she is camping, fishing, and riding horses with her family. She also competes in Dog Diving with her two labs and enjoys crafts.
