Policy

Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society, Inc.’s (BEHS) policy on developing the policies of the organization is to adhere to the following procedure, which ensures the reasonable consideration of all proposed changes.

Procedure

All members of the Board of Directors will consider and discuss proposed policies and amendments to the policies of Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society.

Development of new policy will be delegated to an appropriate Director, at such time the need for new policy is identified.  Subsequently, all Directors will participate in refinement of the proposed policy. Once the policy is deemed appropriate in final form, each Director will cast their vote for or against adoption of the proposed policy.

The members of Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society have at any time the right to petition the Board of Directors for a change in a policy or procedure of the
organization.  The member may exercise this right by submitting in writing their request including rationale for the proposed change or addition.  These requests should be sent to Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society, PO Box 15, Rosharon, Texas 77511.

All Directors will review these requests, participate in discussions regarding the request, and cast their vote either for or against the change or addition detailed by the request.
