Jackson came to Bluebonnet in 2008 as an estray, 7 year old stallion.  He hadn’t been handled much when he arrived, and he was not the easiest horse.  He was adopted and returned a few times, the last time he was returned he had started rearing under saddle.  He was so cute but no one wanted a horse who reared.

He moved to a new foster home in 2012 and she captured her heart.  She actually adopted him as a companion for her other BEHS horse, but after her other BEHS horse had to retire she began trail riding him.  She says, “After many miles around the trails in WNC, I can honestly say, I never could have asked for a better trail partner. He’s rarely ruffled. Super sane. A been there, done that kind of horse. Love my buddy!”

Never let anyone tell you that a rescue horse can’t do something. They just have to find their right person, and then they can do anything!
